David Lee Gibbs, 86 passed away on Monday September 23, 2024, at the VA Hospital.  He was born May 12, 1938, in Springdale, Arkansas to Nattie (Singleton) and W.N. Gibbs.

David served in the Army for 17 years.  He was a truck driver for many years and the owner J and D Roofing for about 12 years.  He enjoyed restoring old cars, loved fishing and playing the banjo.  David loved his 2 dogs Oscar and Norman.

He was survived by his wife Judy, his 3 children from a previous marriage Coda, and Connie of Wichita and Vicky of Fayetteville, AK; Grandsons Travis and Alan; many nieces and nephews.  He is proceeded in death by his parents Nattie and W.N. Gibbs, 12 brothers and sisters, and his first wife Mable.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home - 6100 East Central - Wichita, KS.  There will be a graveside service on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Towanda Cemetery - 538 N. 6th - Towanda, KS.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with American Cancer Society and the Kansas Humane Society.
