David Alden Davis, Air Force Vietnam War veteran and retired Boeing Wichita Functional Test employee, passed away peacefully with family and friends by his side on February 28, 2025. He was born on May 16, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas. David is survived by his wife Kathy Phelps-Davis, his daughter Michelle Shelton (Jim Shelton), his sister Teresa Price, his nephew Matthew West, his step-son David Phelps, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In his life, David enjoyed driving race cars, watching Formula 1 and Indy 500 races, and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. A private family service will be held at a later date.
