Daniel "Danny" Wyatt Winkler, 29, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at his home in Wichita, KS surrounded by love. He was born October 30, 1994 in Marysville, KS, the son of Richard Harris and Sabine Winkler.
Danny attended both Wichita Heights High School and Marysville High School. After graduation, Danny was in the nursing program in Beatrice, Nebraska. After realizing that wasn't his calling, he moved back to Wichita and joined the Air Force. He was a Boom Operator for eight years. Danny absolutely loved his job and his military family.
Danny met his now fiancée, Lauren Miller, in 2021. Lauren relocated from Garden City, KS to start her life with Danny. They had a daughter, Nora Winkler, on March 27, 2023. Danny was very devoted to his family and was the most amazing and loving father.
Danny is survived by his fiancée, Lauren Miller of Wichita, KS; daughter, Nora Winkler of Wichita, KS; father, Richard Harris of Wichita, KS; step-mother, Carol Lindsey Harris of Wichita, KS; mother, Sabine Winkler of Marysville, KS; step-father, Fred Nietfeld of Marysville, KS; sister/brother-in-law, Jane and Tim Piel of Newton, KS; brother, Walter Harris of Reading, PA; sister/brother-in-law, Maggie and Thomas Hartmann of Cresco, PA; brother, Markus and Corinna Winkler of Mettman, Germany; sister/brother-in-law, Jennifer and Bubba Shafer of Oregon, IL; sister, Aaliyah Hasenkamp of Concordia; aunt, Sandra Harris of Manhattan, KS; four nieces and five nephews; step-sister, Amy Faust of West Minster, CO; step-brother, Joshua Lindsey of Wichita, KS; four step-nephews and one step-niece.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at College Hill United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Nora's College Fund and/or Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box, 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516
