Dale Leon Lawrence, 91, of Newton, Ks, passed away Wednesday 11/26/25. Dale was born October 1, 1934, in LeRoy Kansas, the son of Earnest Lawrence and Marvel Whitehead.

Dale completed 11th grade and taught himself multiple skills. He worked for mobile home factory Guerdon for a few years and then went to work for Hesston Corporation as a welder and tool and die machinist for 34 years retiring at age 65.

He enjoyed fishing, golfing, deer hunting and flying remote-control aircraft, and remodeling homes. Remarkably, well into his 80's he was still fixing lawnmowers.

He married to Marsha Lee Cockrum on July 3, 1962 for a total of 63 years. He was preceded in death by his son Stephen Lawrence, grandson Christopher Lawrence, brother Leonard Lawrence, sisters Fern Prescott and June Lingle.

Survivors include son Dane (Melissa) Lawrence of Newton, daughter Lisa Nettleton of Wichita, grandchildren Danielle (Shawn) Miller, Matthew (Kori) Lawrence, Kelby (Lina) Lawrence and Sara Nettleton. Great grandchildren Jude and Poppy Miller, Ewan Lawrence, Winter Razor and Tate Razor. Great great grandchildren Kaden and Kennedy Attebury.
