Clyde Eugene Brake, 85, of Winfield, Ks passed away on October 6, 2025 in Wichita, Ks. He was born in Parma, MO on July 11,1940 to Grady and Pearl (Boyer) Brake.

Clyde joined the United States Army in July 1960 and was Honorably discharged in Aug 1965. Following his military,  he worked at Beech Aircraft and at William Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield, Ks where he met his wife, Joy Lee Withrow, whom he referred as the love of his life. He was also a dedicated worker at Coca Cola bottling Company for over 30 years and at Pizza Hut for over 20 years from which he retired.

Clyde regularly commented of his love for God's creation for he had a great love of animals and natural landscapes. In his free time, Clyde regularly enjoyed eating meals with family and friends and was also a huge movie buff. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Clyde regularly expressed how much he loved his wife and all his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and siblings.

Clyde was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joy Lee Brake, grand daughter, Kaitlin Martin and grandson, Tanner Holler, parents, Grady and Pearl (Boyer) Brake, siblings, Nellie Mashburn, Leroy Brake, Lillie Mae Gooch and Dorthy Watkins

Survivors include his four daughters, Debra (David) Wefler, Julie (Mark) Overton, Eugenia (Brent) Holler, Lavona (Brian) Maden, grandchildren, David Wefler, Kaci Maden, Fayth Martin, Jessica Maden, Brenlee Holler and four great grandchildren, siblings, Ed (DeLoris) Brake, Edna (Don) Allison and Glenda (Stan) Hogg.

Clyde was cremated, and in keeping with his wishes, his family will gather for a later date to celebrate his life and the many memories he left behind.
