Charles "Douglas" Suter, age 60, of Wichita Kansas passed away Tuesday December 30, 2025 at his home. He was born September 11, 1965, in Wichita, Kansas - the son of John Heckman and Judith Suter.

Douglas graduated with honors from butler community college for nursing.

Douglas's first passion started with law enforcement. Working many years for park city and bel-aire police department, where he retired from. Later he moved on to his next passion to registered nursing.

He was proceeded in death by his biological father John Heckman and his mother Judith Suter . His sons Angel and Aric "Alex" Suter and his nephews Sloan Suter and Christian Downing.

Survivors include his daughters Amber and Alyssa Suter. Spouse Jamie Clark, his beloved dog Chloe. His grandchildren Kenyon, Gabriel, Ta'Shaun, Colton, Brilan, Temprence, Blaize, Tessa,  Walker, and Angel. Parents Bud Suter and Roberta Heckman. His siblings Neil (Becky) Suter, Bev (Nancy) Ayres, Theresa Suter, and Pepin Suter. Douglas was also a devoted protector and confidant to many nieces, nephews, and hellions.

Celebration of life will be held on Thursday January 22,2026 from 4pm-8pm at Vorshays Cocktail Lounge located at 417 E. Douglas in Wichita Kansas.
