Obituary

Brennan Trevor Russell, 29, from Wichita, KS, left our world on July 31, 2024. He is survived by his mother and father, Maria and Paul; his brother Keeler and BFAM (brother from another mother) Julius; aunts A, Tia, Trish, Wendy, Jane, Leslie, and Deb; uncles Mike and Bill. He was preceded in death by his life partner, Lena Whitecloud, his grandparents, Aunt Luc, and too many friends who suffered from addiction.

Brennan was a talented artist and musician whose special loves were nature, animals, Lena, and Gramma Pat. He was a "one of a kind" soul. He was funny, smart, kind, big hearted, charismatic, talented, creative, a hot mess at times and as his cousin Doris always said, "He is Hollywood handsome."

Sadly, Brennan fell victim to the drug addiction epidemic that rages in our country. He fought to get clean but, in the end, he was no match for this horrible disease. At his core he was a sensitive person trying to act like everything was ok when it wasn't.

A bench and plaque has been installed in memory of Brennan at College Hill Park, Wichita, KS.  It's near the Five Steps entrance at Bluff & Waterman. Please come hang out there and enjoy the memories of happy times. Donations to any recovery or mental health assistance facility of your choice may be made in Brennan's honor. Brennan: you are loved and are dearly missed. For all others: please do not quit before the miracle happens. Reach out for help.
