Gorges
Dec 30, 1955 — Mar 15, 2024
Bel Aire
Brenda Gorges was born on December 30, 1955, to Robert and Lynnell Armstrong in Dumas, Texas, and was raised in Amarillo, Texas. She graduated from Palo Duro High School.
Brenda went home to be with the Lord on March 15, 2024, at home in Bel Aire, Kansas, at the age of 68 after a long battle with colon cancer. Her twin sister, Glenda, was lovingly by her side.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lynnell Armstrong. Brenda is survived by her husband, Joe Gorges; her daughter, Lori Klein; her son, Nicholas Gorges, and his wife Jacqueline Navarrete; her five grandchildren, Kylie Garret, Ben Garrett, Mason Ross, Lily Gorges, and Genevieve Gorges; her siblings, Bobby Armstrong and his wife, Debbie, Glenda Powell and her husband, Ricky, and Ricky Armstrong and his wife, Donna.
Brenda was a loving and proud grandmother, a talented bowler, and an avid gardener. She loved crocheting and gifting her blankets, taking step classes with friends, and encouraging others to embrace a lifestyle of exercise.
Brenda will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege of experiencing her warm smile, joyous laugh, and generous spirit. So many were blessed to have known her. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the caring staff of Clear Path Hospice, and especially to Mindy for her exceptional care.
