Brenda Gail Callihan, 73, of Wichita, Ks, passed away Saturday August 17, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 13, 1951 in West Point, MS, the daughter of Aubrey and Myrtis (Merchant) Dill.

Brenda graduated with her RN from Wallace College in 1979. She was an Oncology nurse for most of her career. She worked at prestigious hospitals such as M.D. Anderson, Inova Loudoun Hospital, and ending her career at Wesley Hospital. After retirement she loved gardening and tinkering around in the yard and playing with her great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Aubrey and Myrtis Dill and her brother Aubrey Dill Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Callihan of Wichita, Ks; son, John Callihan of Muscatine, IA; son Derrick Callihan of Wichita, Ks. Grandchildren Justic Chavez; Nevan Callihan;  Mercedes (Kacey) Kutz; Victoria Oquendo; Noah Oquendo; Isaac Oquendo; Zackary Young; Wyatt Tuttle and Audra Sandquist. Great Grandchildren Francesca Oquendo-Worrell (aka Frankie); Rosalynn Kutz (aka Rose) and Anastasia Kutz (aka Anya). Also her brother James (Cowatha) Dill.

Memorial services will be held August 31, 2024 at a location to be determined. In lieu of flowers donations may be give to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
