Betty Neal,84 of Newton Kansas, Passed away Thursday October 19th 2023. Betty was born January 14th 1939 in Pine Island, New York.

Betty was a loving Mother and grandmother.  Mom was also a breast cancer survivor. She enjoyed  playing her guitar and mandolin and singing country,gospel and bluegrass. She shared her love of music to family and friends whenever she had the chance. Betty also enjoyed playing at area nursing homes in Newton with the band she played in. Betty also volunteered at the Harvey County Courthouse.

Survivors include her sons  Edward Hodgkins (Mary Jean Hodgkins), Ronnie Wahl. Sisters Annie Hruby,Jean Mangoitta.
Betty had 1 Grandson Anthony Hodgkins and 2 great grandchildren Damien and Gwen.

Betty was preceded in death by both of her parents and brother Johnny.

There will be a celebration of life for Betty at  Wheatland Homes Community room at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in her name.
