Betty J
Fillman
Nov 25, 1933 — Jul 29, 2024
Wichita
Betty was born in Kinta, Oklahoma on November 25, 1933 and went to be with Jesus on July 29, 2024 at her home in Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband Dave, her parents Max and Mollie Lowery, brother Max Jr., sister Jewel, and a nephew Bill Day.
She started out as a teacher and retired after 30 years working for the government as an Administrative Contracting Officer. She even became an author after writing her life story, entitled "I Was A Sharecropper's Daughter." She was very proud of her heritage and growing up in Oklahoma. Betty was intelligent, wise, and witty. She loved reading and was a fabulous cook, but most of all she loved caring for Dave and her fur babies.
She was loved and will be missed by her remaining family - brother-in-law Bill, nephew Billy, nieces Deborah, Tobi, and Kay and all their families; as well as her adopted family the "Clapp Park Golf Course Gang," and Sister, her kitty who was her constant companion and best bud.
