Barbara "Bobbie" Susan Thomas, 67, of Wichita, Ks, passed away Friday, March 28th, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. She was born May 28, 1957, in Wichita, Ks, the youngest daughter of John Vann "JV" and Ruth (Cooper) Luther. Bobbie was lucky to have bonus parents, Stepfather, Jerome "Jerry" Fiegel, and Stepmother, Janice Luther, who also played an important role in raising her.

Bobbie attended Bishop Carroll High School, where she focused less on academics, and more on making good friends and even better memories. This led to Bobbie meeting her first husband, Michael Brungardt, together, they created what Bobbie often referred to as her greatest achievements, her daughters, Jessica Lee (Brungardt) Fagan, and Amanda Susan (Brungardt) Meyer.

Bobbie held various jobs throughout the years, but her favorite was bartending. Bobbie made many friends working at Rock Island and further developed her love for live music of all varieties, working at The Cotillion Ballroom for 20+ years. Bobbie made many great friends working in the industry, and while she may not have remembered every person's name, she did remember their drink and was known for making a dang good one!

Bobbie reconnected with an old friend, Gerald "JT" Thomas in 2001 after she became an empty nester, and they created a beautiful life together, blending their two families. Bobbie became a Stepmother to JT's children, Christine "Thomas" Blaine, Jasen Baird, and Michael Baird. It was the addition of JT's family that also, first made Bobbie a Grandmother and later, a Great Grandmother! Bobbie was known for putting together big family meals, where she would make multiple dishes to appeal to everyone's tastes, and doing her best to blend the two-family units.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, John Vann Luther and Stepmother, Janice Luther, Ruth Helen (Cooper) Fiegel and Stepfather, Jerome "Jerry" Fiegel; Stepson Michael Baird. Survivors include husband, Gerald "JT" Thomas of Wichita, Ks; daughters, Jessica (Brungardt) Fagan (Matthew) of Lenexa, Ks; Amanda (Brungardt) Meyer of Wichita, Ks; Stepdaughter Christine (Thomas) Blaine of Wichita, Ks; Stepson Jasen Baird of Wichita, Ks; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
