Audrey Marie Dilley passed away on December 29, 2023. On March 7, 1931 Harold a Marie Nelson became parents of a baby girl, Audrey Marie Nelson. She was born and raised on a farm in Iowa, went to country schools and graduated from Atlantic High in 1949. She was equally talented and felt right at home, whether working with her mom Marie, in the kitchen, or her dad Harold, out on the farm.

Audrey met the love of her life while working for JCPenney. She married Arnold Dilley in 1952 while he served our country in the United States Army.

In January 1955, they had their first child a baby girl. Four months later they moved to Greeley, Colorado, and Audrey was a stay at home mom, while Arnold went to work for Joslin's department store.
In 1957 and 58 two boys join the family. Several years later Arnold and Audrey got an opportunity to own and operate their own shoe stores in Wichita, Kansas.

In 1967, they had a fourth child another baby boy. She loved and lived for her church Gloria Dei Lutheran, a dedicated member for 55 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters Avis and Bernice. Audrey is survived by her four children Carol Gornick, Michael, Jeffrey, and James Dilley and her six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Her service will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Tuesday, January 9th, at 11 AM. Gravesite service will be held at White Chapel Memorial at 2 PM. If you wish to make a memorial, Gloria Dei Lutheran, 1101 North River Blvd. 67203.
Now Audrey is going to her final home to be with her Lord and Savior and be reunited with the love of her life, Arnold!
