In loving memory of Anita Jane Weeks, 68, of Duncan, OK, who passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Derby, Kansas surrounded by her loved ones. She was born September 10, 1955 in Ardmore, OK, the daughter of Bobby and Kathryn Bunch Sr.

Anita graduated from Derby High School in 1973. She later took classes to become a CNA/CMA and spent some time caring for the elderly, working at Westview Manor in Derby.

The bulk of her adulthood Anita spent working in the aerospace industry(Boeing/Spirit) where she retired as a parts handler.

She married Murl Weeks on February 14, 1999. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by, parents, Bobby and Kathryn Bunch and step-son, Steven Hysom.

Survivors include brother, Bobby (Vickie) Bunch Jr of Augusta, KS; sister, Pam (Keith) Johnson of Benton, KS; daughter, Christina Miller of Rose Hill, KS; son, Bruce (Jolene) Hysom of Rose Hill, KS; step-daughter Jan (Eric) Wendler of Augusta, KS; step-daughter, Julie Weeks of Lincoln, NE; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Anita was known for her ornery spirit, adding a spark of humor to every moment. Yet, beneath her feisty exterior, she held a deep reverence for her faith. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, strength and unwavering faith to inspire all of those who knew her.

The memorial service will be held on June 1 st , 2024 at 11 AM at Benton Cemetery in Benton, KS followed
by a celebration of life gathering at Rose Hill Senior Center in Rose Hill, KS.
