Andrea "Andy" Dawn Skidmore was called Home on December 15th, 2024.

Andy was born on June 25, 1975, in Newton, Kansas. While growing up in Kansas, Andy loved to follow around her dad, Rickey Whitcomb, play at her Granny Rene's house with her cousin and built in best friend Charlie, and hangout with her Aunt Shorty. She loved telling stories about growing up in Kansas and all the antics she found herself in with her dad, sisters, aunts, cousins, and Granny Rene.

Andy married Howard Skidmore on July 21, 2001, in Red Lodge, Montana. Together, they spent over 25 years together building a life full of love, laughter, and excitement. Together, they had a daughter named Hannah. Throughout the years, the three of them would take part in many movie and game nights (often with homemade pizza), numerous camping trips to Yellowstone, fishing excursions, and going on family road trips to California and Oregon.

Andy loved being a mom to her daughter, Hannah. Anyone who met Andy knew how much she loved being Hannah's mom. Those two were never too far away from one another (if you saw one, you knew the other was nearby). Whenever Andy would talk about Hannah, you could see the pride in her eyes of her Hanny Raine.

Aside from mom, her other favorite title was Aunt Andy. Which was gifted to her by her gaggle of nieces who she loved as if they were her own daughters. Aunt Andy and her nieces loved playing dress up with feather boas and rainbow clown wigs, having sleepovers, hosting tea parties, making s'mores, engaging in high stakes games of Kids Baking Championships (winner was always undetermined), and watching them grow into their spunky selves.

Anyone who met Andy adored her friendliness, kindness, humor, empathy, infectious laugh and smile, and her love of dogs. She loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family. Her favorite activities were cooking and baking – Andy found food to be healing and a comfort. For her, cooking was a way to show people how much you cared for and loved them. Plus, you could always find a bag of chocolate chips for impromptu chocolate chip cookies… because ya never know.

She will be forever missed and cherished by her husband, daughter, little sisters, nieces, aunts, cousins, dogs and the little cat that slept above her head. Andy survived by her husband, Howard and daughter, Hannah, her dogs, and her daughters' obnoxious cats. She is preceded in passing by her dad, Rickey Dean Whitcomb, and her niece, Lilian May Whitcomb.

Services will be held in Cedar Point, Kansas.
