Ancil Wayne Hensley, 58, of Eureka, Kansas, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by family.  He was born March 8, 1966, in Wichita, Kansas.  He was the son of Curtis Hensley and Judith (Hensley) Short.

Ancil worked construction both in and out of Wichita, Kansas. He enjoyed attending church and seeing the grandkids there, too.  He posted many things about God and his beliefs to social media.

His favorite hobby was participating in local pool leagues.  He played pool just two weeks before passing.  In addition, friendships Ancel made throughout his life were important to him.  Everywhere you went, Ancil knew someone.

He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Wayne Hensley and his sister, Diana Hedke.

Ancil is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; son David; mother, Judith Short; sister, Kathy Hultman; brother David (Geri) Schaal; brother John Hensley; Joseph (Nedra) Ross

Grandkids: Christian Gonzales, Anjelica Ross, Marcela Ross, Calvin Chisholm, Jesse Chisholm, Jacqueline Chisholm

Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 10 AM at Colonial Heights Assembly of God in Wichita, Kansas.
