Obituary

In remembrance of Aly

Alycia "Aly" Lynn Youngs, 38, passed away unexpectedly at her home Friday February 21st, 2025, in Wichita, Ks due to unknown causes. Her family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death. Aly was born on April 8th, 1986, to parents Ray and Peggy Youngs in Wichita, Ks.

At the age of 10 in 1996, Aly moved with her parents and younger sister to their 10-acre country home just outside of Derby, Ks. This is where she would make many childhood memories of exploring the countryside, riding bikes, running around the neighborhood until sunset, riding horses, taking care of various farm animals and making lifelong friendships with other neighborhood children. In her later years Aly loved visiting family at her childhood home for Sunday dinners and recollecting those memories.

Aly attended Derby schools from grade-school on. She met John "JJ" Smith as a teenager and they welcomed a daughter, Maliyah Adell Youngs into the world on June 13th, 2007, in Wichita, Ks. She was extremely proud of Maliyah and all that she has accomplished. Aly loved her more than words can describe. She was tremendously excited and proud she was going to be able to watch her graduate in just a few months and then continue her education in college.

Aly loved supporting her favorite NFL team, the Green Bay Packers. She was frequently seen sporting her Packers gear. She was often described by loved ones as kind-hearted, giving, outgoing, and always making people laugh. She has so many loved ones that will miss her dearly and the pain of her absence is proof of the strong relationships she formed.

Aly is joined in Heaven by paternal grandparents Bruce A. and Donna F. Youngs; Maternal grandfather Edward Wheat; uncles Mike Wheat and Gary Seamster; Cousin Armani Saucedo; and several close friends lost too soon.

She leaves behind but will continue to watch over; Daughter Maliyah Youngs; Parents Ray A. and Peggy L. Youngs of Derby, Ks; Sister Shannon and brother-in-law Shawn Robbins of Newton, Ks; Nephew Jaxson and niece Holley Robbins; Sister-in-law Tali Smith and nephew Michael Dixon; Maternal grandmother Phyllis Wheat of Wichita, Ks; Uncles Steve (Linda) Youngs of Halstead, Ks, and Randy Youngs of Thomasville, Mo; Aunts Kathy Seamster and Patti Wheat both of Wichita, Ks; Several cousins and other family members she considered friends and numerous friends she considered family.
